On Arbor Day, April 28, the Bridgewater Garden Club planted an October Glory Maple tree at the Marathon Park Playground in Bridgewater.
Children that were at the playground were invited to come help plant the tree. They placed trowels filled with soil in the hole.
The tree will grow as they do and in time will provide shade on the playground. Last year the Garden Club planted two other October Glory trees in this location.
